Vulcanised Rubber Sole.
One of the most crucial properties of a
boot sole is slip resistance on wet surface. Workmaster boots,
almost without exception, are worn in wet environments. Official
figures attribute 65% of all industrial accidents to slips, trips
and falls. The workmaster range of boots, with a vulcanised rubber
sole, has 30% superior slip resistance and maintains that grip
throughtout its working life.The rubber
sole surpasses the standard, SATRA TM114 & EN13287 for slip
resistance. With a coefficient of fraction of 0.9. It is over double
the pass level of 0.4 as proven by extensive tests carried out in
independent test laboratories. The rubber sole is cost effective due
to the increased service life of 2-3 times that of an ordinary
Nitrile / PVC sole. The rubber sole is fused to the workmaster boot
during injection moulding by a revolutionary new process that
creates a bond stronger than either the boot material or the rubber
sole.
The rubber sole conforms to EN345-1 & EN ISO20345
and has excellent resistance to oils, fuels, fats, solvents and
chemicals. Additional benefits from the vulcanized nitrile rubber
sole include better cut resistance, excellent low temperature below
-30oC and resistance to hot contact of 60 seconds at 300oC
according to EN344-1 clause 4,8,8. The sole of the Hazmax and
Superpoly boot is anti-static.
